Madison, who dated the Playboy founder from 2001 until 2008, said their relationship involved a large age gap and came with a level of intimacy she did not always enjoy, even though it was a major part of their time together.
She explained that despite their 53-year age difference, they had a very active sex life and she has never shied away from sharing candid stories about that period of her life.
Hefner died at 91 on September 27, 2017, and since then Madison has continued to reflect on what her life looked like during those years.
During a May appearance on the In Your Dreams podcast, she shared more about one particular sexual situation she found especially ‘disgusting’ at the time.
Madison then admitted that she absolutely hated taking part in group sex with Hefner and others, and that it was something she struggled with from the beginning.
She explained this further when she added: “It’s a very different story between when we were just by ourselves than with everybody else in the room.”
She also talked about the harsh comments she used to deal with online regarding her relationship with Hefner, saying the criticism often popped up no matter what she posted or shared.
She said: “There was a time when I couldn’t post anything [on social media] without some dumba** in the comments [being] like, ‘Oh, old balls.'”
She mentioned that they regularly kept the lights off during sex and brought up the old saying that ‘all cats are gray in the dark’, using it to highlight how different things felt in that environment.
She said she eventually realized she did not truly know Hefner as well as she believed, even though she spent years doing things she thought represented genuine closeness.
In an interview with the New York Post, she admitted: “I thought I was connecting with [Hefner], when really I was just somebody who had trouble connecting with people my whole life. And I’d met somebody who was like a master manipulator.”
