In his newly released music video “Kick Off”, rapper Eminem references the tragic bombing in Manchester in 2017, where Ariana Grande was hosting a concert as part of her Dangerous Woman Tour. Eminem, the rap legend known for his controversial lyrics targeting celebrities, has just dropped a new 11-minute music video. Set against the familiar backdrop of Saint Andrew’s Hall, the “Rap God” delivers lines aimed directly at Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

One of the most notable moments is when Eminem raps about the Manchester bombing in 2017, which tragically claimed the lives of 22 people, during Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman Tour concert.

The 46-year-old rapper uses heartbreaking language in his new song, saying: “Ariana Grande was singing her last song that night, and as the audience was leaving that damn concert, let’s blow up the device strapped to his (referring to the terrorist Salman Ramadan Abedi, who detonated a homemade bomb as the audience was exiting the venue).”

But that’s not all—Eminem also touches on sensitive topics such as religion and drugs when he mentions Justin Bieber. In addition to the two stars, Eminem references other big names like Reese Witherspoon, Ric Flair, and Christina Aguilera in his new track.

In the past, the 46-year-old rapper has frequently called out entertainment figures, addressed social issues, and criticized the media in his music videos.

Back in August, he released the album Kamikaze, a follow-up to his 2017 album Revival, which named several famous hip-hop stars like Lil Xan, Lil Pump, Migos, MGK (Machine Gun Kelly), and more. He also had harsh words for the media and fans.

Billboard magazine once compared Eminem to the character he hated, US President Donald Trump: “While passionately blaming anyone who criticized him – from the media, the rappers, the era – Eminem did not realize that you’re turning into the Donald Trump of hip-hop music.”

“Picking up” famous people in song lyrics has become Eminem’s trademark. Besides the controversial opinion, many people are also curious about who he will mention in the next albums.
