According to sources from Hollywood Reporter, Eminem and Snoop Dogg will both perform on stage at this year’s MTV VMAs (MTV Video Music Awards). The two artists promise this will be the “first of its kind” performance and is inspired by the virtual world metaverse.
MTV said they collaborated with Yuga Lubs to make this song From the D 2 The LBC. This special event also marks the first time Eminem and Snoop Dogg have collaborated in more than 20 years. The song will also be nominated for the Best Hip Hop Song category at this year’s awards ceremony.
Eminem and Snoop Dogg used to have a lot of animosity, the audience even believed that the two were “frenemies”. However, by performing together on stage, it seems like these two top rappers have reconciled.
Immediately after the information was posted, fans were extremely excited and looking forward to this performance. Both have not appeared on the VMAs stage for a long time. For Eminem, the last time the male rapper performed here was 12 years ago, while Snoop Dogg last performed at the VMAs 17 years ago.
Eminem has revealed that a feud he had with Snoop Dogg was hashed out following the hospitalisation of their mutual friend Dr. Dre.
The revelation came during an appearance on Paul Pod – the SiriusXM show hosted by Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s longtime manager who has appeared on several skits on albums throughout the rapper’s discography.
