I (46) am a mother to my 16-year-old daughter, Rachel. She usually lives with me but occasionally stays with her dad and stepmother, whom she despises for being controlling and cruel. Rachel’s stepmother enforces strict rules and gives no allowance. When her dad refused to help financially, Rachel got a job to save for her dream sewing machine.
Rachel worked hard, and I doubled her savings to help her buy the machine. She was thrilled and spent her free time sewing, hoping to turn it into a career. But her stepmother was furious, claiming it was a distraction from chores. After an argument with her for not washing the plates, she THREW Rachel’s sewing machine INTO THE POOL as punishment.
Rachel called me, devastated. I immediately went to confront her stepmother, who said she was just teaching Rachel responsibility. Furious, I took Rachel home and decided to teach my ex’s wife a lesson. The next day, her screams made it clear she realized how badly she’d been tricked.

When my 16-year-old daughter Rachel saved up for a sewing machine, her stepmother Karen destroyed it out of spite. I was furious and decided to get revenge. I teamed up with a friend, Jason, an actor with a police uniform, to teach Karen a lesson.
After Rachel told me about Karen’s cruelty, I plotted a plan. The next day, Jason, posing as a cop, showed up at Karen’s house to “confiscate” her laptop due to an investigation. Karen panicked, begging for it back. Rachel, filming the whole thing, confronted her and said, “See? It’s unpleasant to lose something important.”
I walked in and explained that Karen needed to pay Rachel back for the machine and apologize, or we’d post the video online. Humiliated, Karen agreed. She handed Rachel a check and promised to behave. Since then, Rachel hasn’t had to visit her dad’s house, and Karen’s been on her best behavior. Rachel got a new sewing machine, and this time, it stays with me.
