âThese allegations are offensive and ridiculous,â Green said. âOur officials are highly trained professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the fairness of the game.â

Of course, Green didnât stop there. He also criticized fans and analysts who questioned the legitimacy of the Chiefsâ win.

âItâs a shame that people would make these accusations without any evidence,â Green said. âThis is a tough game and sometimes the calls donât go your way. But that doesnât mean thereâs cheating.â
However, many fans didnât buy Greenâs explanation. They pointed to some questionable decisions by officials during the game, such as a Bills denied kickoff that could have changed the outcome of the game.
âI donât know if there was favoritism, but there were some very questionable decisions,â one fan wrote on Twitter.
âIâm a Bills fan and I feel like we were scammed,â another wrote.
Itâs unclear at this time whether the NFL will investigate the allegations of favoritism. Whatâs certain, however, is that the incident tarnished the Chiefsâ win and undermined fansâ faith in the fairness of the NFL.
And in a related development, a group of Bills fans started a petition asking the NFL to review the game. âWe want justice for the Bills,â the petition reads. âWe donât believe the Chiefs won fairly.â
