Cher’s Son Called ‘Very Handsome’ – His Transformation and Likeness to His Dad Stuns

Elijah’s dad was the iconic leader of The Allman Brothers Band. Cher was Gregg’s seventh wife and the two were married from 1975 to 1979. Gregg had written in his autobiography, “Cher smelled like a mermaid. I’ve never smelled it since and I’ll never forget it.”

However, all was not good in Cher and Gregg’s marriage as it faced immediate challenges right after their wedding. On July 9, 1975, just nine days later, Cher filed for divorce, citing Gregg’s struggles with heroin and alcohol as insurmountable issues.

Reflecting on that tumultuous time, Cher recounted, “He was so high he didn’t even understand me” when she called to end their marriage.

Despite the initial separation, Gregg reconciled with Cher but he later initiated divorce proceedings himself. Their relationship saw another twist when Cher became pregnant with their son, Elijah, prompting Gregg Allman to reconsider.

However, they eventually parted ways for good. Gregg attributed the final split to irreconcilable differences, noting, “There was no future for us because she has that constant paranoia of (my) going back to alcohol.”

Sadly, Gregg died on May 27, 2017, at the age of 69. Upon his demise, a sad Cher wrote on X, “IVE TRIED… WORDS ARE IMPOSSIBLE GUI GUI💔 FOREVER, CHOOCH💋.”
