EMINEM’S daughter Hailie Jade has revealed why her dad’s songs bring her to tears.
The rapper, who is known for his punchy tracks and raw lyrics, might not always be associated with bringing people to tears – but for his daughter, his tracks definitely do.
Hailie Jade Scott Mathers, who is an actress and musician herself, has shared that her father Eminem’s music can make her cry within an instant.
The 28-year-old has candidly spoken out and shared how she was impacted by the rapper’s new hit Somebody Save Me, which is a collaboration with country music star Jelly Roll.
Hailie also mentioned the song Temporary, which features singer Skylar Grey and is a tribute to Hailie.
Speaking on her podcast Just a Little Shady, Hailie shared why she became emotional when listening to her father’s music.
“Speaking of things I watched this past week, which I guess I’ll say watched, but I refused to watch again — the Somebody Save Me music video is out and I did watch the thing,” she said.
“I don’t think I can do it again,” she admitted, “I definitely cry every time I hear it at all.”
Eminem included footage of Hailie in the Somebody Save Me music video, with him rapping about his daughter.
In Somebody Save Me, Eminem raps, “Hailie, I’m so sorry I know I wasn’t there for your first guitar recital.”
