Wheel of Fortune’ Player Misses Out On $83,000 After Failing To Solve This Hard Puzzle

Wheel of Fortune Halloween Episode Delivers Thrills — and a Painful Miss

“Wheel of Fortune” launched its Halloween week with festive flair, but Monday night’s episode ended with a gut-wrenching twist. Chicago contestant Anastasia Armitage delivered one of the most impressive performances of the season, dazzling both viewers and host Ryan Seacrest with her lightning-fast puzzle skills.

Before the game began, Armitage won over the audience by sharing her love for fall traditions — apple orchards, pumpkins, and donuts — while admitting she has never actually tasted coffee, despite loving the aroma.

After a slow start, she surged ahead in dominant fashion. Armitage secured a $7,000-plus trip to Salem during the Same Letter round, followed by another win in the Mystery Round. She later claimed a second vacation — this time to London — and stunned the crowd by instantly solving all three Triple Toss-Up puzzles.

She entered the Bonus Round with $38,324 in winnings. Choosing the “People” category, she narrowly missed the correct answer, “Rival Opponents,” losing out on an extra $45,000.

“I feel so lucky to have had my moment on the Wheel,” Armitage said afterward.

Fans agreed — calling her performance “jaw-dropping” and unforgettable.
