The Transportation Department aims to “bring courtesy and class back to air travel” after reports of disruptive passengers have risen.

The Transportation Department has rolled out a new video as part of its campaign to “bring courtesy and class back to air travel”, after reports of disruptive passengers have surged above pre-pandemic levels.

In the clip, men and women dressed in suits and hats carry small bags and board the plane with calm, orderly manners. They greet fellow travelers politely, chat across the aisle, and move about without a hint of chaos—or bare feet.

Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy, appearing on camera in a dark suit and tie, offers tips for keeping air travel civil. His advice includes managing children, helping pregnant passengers with overhead luggage, and remembering to say please and thank you, especially to pilots and flight attendants.

“And one more thing,” Duffy asks, “are you dressing with respect?”
