A star of the hit TV show Modern Family has come out in a lip-syncing selfie video as the world celebrates Pride Month.
The much-loved U.S. sitcom, which aired for 11 seasons, from 2009 to 2020, follows the lives of three families related to Mitchell Pritchett’s dad, Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill).
Now, one of its stars has come out, and fans are sharing their support.
One wrote: “You’re a queen, keep being you.”
Another added: “Omg this is literally the best coming out ever.”
“Okay, slayyyy, have a great pride girl!” somebody else commented.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons – who plays Lily Tucker-Pritchett, the adopted daughter of a gay couple – posted the footage on social media.
In the witty clip, the 18-year-old lip-syncs to an iconic scene from the ABC show, in which Lily tells her dad, Mitchell, and relative, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, that she’s gay.
Donning a pair of sunglasses, Anderson-Emmons grins as Gloria (Sofía Vergara) can be heard saying: “You are Vietnamese” – to which Lily responds: “No, I’m not, I’m gay, I’m gay!”
Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) then says: “Honey, no, you’re not gay. You are just confused!”
In text posted over the video, Anderson-Emmons – who lip-syncs to Lily’s lines – reveals: “People keep joking so much about [about] me being gay when I literally am (I’m bi).”
And in a cheerful caption accompanying the clip, the actress wrote: “Happy pride month to all and to all a goodnight hehehe #modernfamily #lily #pridemonth #bi #pride.”

Anderson-Emmons was only four years old when she joined the cast of Modern Family.
The star, who first appeared as Vietnamese-born Lily in the show’s third season, became the youngest ever actor to win a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron’s wedding ceremony in the fifth season has been widely praised as a significant and powerful TV moment that showcased same-s** marriage.
Anderson-Emmons, who remained on the sitcom until its end five years ago, has since starred in the short film, Tailwinds, with her mother, Amy Anderson, the New York Post reports.
She is also a talented singer, teasing her fans yesterday: “New music coming soon!”
In a TikTok video about having grown up in the spotlight, the actress-turned-musician admitted that she didn’t know what she was getting herself into at such a young age.

In the clip, shared with her 2.6 million followers, Anderson-Emmons said: “’People ask things like, ‘How did you know you wanted to do that when you were four? How do you know you love something when you’re so young?’ And the truth is, you don’t.”
But, according to the Daily Mail, she added: “My mom wasn’t like, ‘You’re going to do this.’ It was not like that. I was not abused on set or anything like that, but you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into at four years old when you sign a contract to be on a show.”
The teenager also described having grown up with countless opinions about her acting, with some members of the public cruelly calling her a ‘bad actor.’
“It was really hard for me to grow up with so many people’s opinions around me,” she said.
