A teenage social media influencer heartbreakingly lost her life after falling during a parasailing video shoot. She reportedly became overwhelmed with panic while in the air.
The 19-year-old model, known for her stylish presence and good looks, was from Novi Sad, Serbia. She had apparently been hired to star in a short promotional film for a parasailing business on May 28, but things took a tragic turn during the shoot.
Budva is well-known for its scenic coastline, soft sandy beaches, and sparkling blue waters. Combined with its lively nightlife, it has earned the nickname the ‘Hawaii of Montenegro’ and draws in countless visitors every year.
Eyewitnesses told local media that the teenager seemed at ease when she was getting into her safety gear. According to the parasailing company, she had also received proper training before takeoff.
Still, disturbing footage has surfaced, which shows what appears to be Tijana having a panic attack while suspended in the air.
Onlookers later shared that they heard her screaming frantically, crying out: “Put me down! Put me down!”
Just moments later, she came loose from her harness. She flipped upside down and tragically plunged head-first into the water below.
Authorities have said they are not ruling out the possibility that Tijana may have taken her own life, according to reports by The Sun.
However, her devastated family strongly denies any suggestion that she was responsible for her own death, and they are speaking out against that claim.
Mirko Krdzic, who owns the parasailing business involved in the incident, released a statement saying: “I am sorry for the death of the young girl. I hope to meet her parents to express my condolences in person.”
“We are all in shock after the accident that happened.”
Meanwhile, Tijana’s loved ones and close friends have been honoring her memory through heartfelt tributes shared on social media.
One family member wrote: “You were brave to try to save your young life, but unfortunately, you didn’t succeed.”
