Christine Connell, a travel influencer known for posting vibrant photos from her many trips, shares her adventures with over 78,000 followers on Instagram. She’s been to tropical beaches, snowy mountaintops, and everywhere in between.
While her feed is filled with dreamlike destinations, it turns out that behind the scenes, she’s also been quietly battling serious health issues throughout her travels.
In a video she shared on TikTok, Christine opened up about her ex and what she jokingly refers to as his ultimate ‘breakup revenge’ move.
She explained that since that incident, she’s dealt with facial pain and a constantly blocked nose. It all began shortly after undergoing ankle surgery, when she was still healing and stuck in bed.

Although the moment was definitely unpleasant, she never imagined it could lead to something long-lasting. But things changed after doctors took a sample from her nose for testing.
She began experiencing severe symptoms, including thick green mucus and fevers. These signs pushed her to go through a series of medical tests and scans, hoping to find out what was going on.
In her video caption, she added, “I wish I were joking.”
If you didn’t already know, E.coli refers to a group of bacteria typically found in the intestines. While most types are harmless, some strains can trigger infections in the digestive or urinary tracts.
Christine pointed out that the bacteria involved comes from feces, and then added: “So I don’t know, how does that get in your sinuses unless you have a boyfriend who farts disgustingly and you are forced to inhale it because you are immobile after ankle surgery?”
She later explained in a follow-up that the incident happened while he was changing clothes. Meanwhile, she was lying on the bed with her ankle propped up as she recovered.

Christine also suggested that her body was so focused on healing her ankle that her immune system may not have been strong enough to fight off what came next. If she had been in full health, she thinks this might not have happened.
“And also, when I say it was the worst fart I have ever smelled in my life, I truly mean that.” she reiterated, driving home just how bad the smell had been.
